The Inspector General of Police Dr. George Dampare recently had a meeting with Ghanaian entertains and at the meeting, netizens have said that COP Kofi Boakye while addressing the gathering couldn’t fathom on why in Ghana everyone literally uses the tag celebrity.
”Who is a celebrity? what is the operational definition of the word celebrity? I think we should get that because I am confused, we are confused. Is it that when you appear in one film or you do one song you qualify to be called a celebrity or what? And you see because we are confused , we do not know what you want”, he is reported to have stated.
Well none of the celebrities was ready to reply the COP Kofi Boakye and so Wendy Shay has taken to twitter to react to the police officer’s question.
Answering him in a tweet she wrote; Celebrity is an English word,it means a famous person especially in entertainment or sports etc,but it seems some Ghanaians have their own definition for the word celebrity, somebody being famous(celebrity)too Dey pain u people ooh Dabi smh Ghana wake up!
