Ghana FA Asks Arsenal To Release Thomas Partey For Further Observation By Medical Team

The Ghana Football Association has asked Arsenal for the release of Ghanaian player Thomas Partey in a letter to the team for further medical examination after the midfielder incurred a groin problem.

Following the latest setback , the 28-year-old player may not be fit for the 2022 Africa World Cup qualifying matches against Ethiopia and South Africa.

Partey wasn’t able to play for Arsenal in the match against the Homets after he complained of tightness in his groin.

The midfielder is unlikely to play in Ghana’s match against Ethiopia on Thursday, but he could be used for the game with South Africa on Sunday.

The Ghana Football Association has written to Arsenal requesting for the release of Partey but a decision on that has not been made yet.
