One Charged With Murder As Konongo Court Remands Suspects In F.1 Student’s Stabbing

The prime suspect in the stabbing of a Form 1 student of the Konongo Odumase Senior High School (KOSS) to death has been charged with murder by the Konongo District Court in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Four other suspects involved have been charged with abetment to murder.

All five suspects have been remanded into police custody and will reappear in court on 15th November 2021.

The suspects aged 16 and 17 were ordered by the court presided over by Her Worship, Joyce Bamfo to be sent to the Juvenile Detention Center in Juaso.

Meanwhile the Form 1 student Sam’uun Laharn was stabbed to death on Friday, November 5th after a brawl erupted between the deceased and a fellow student.

According to the Konongo District Police Commander, DSP Osei Adu Agyemang all the five suspects were Form 2 students who had ganged up to go to House three to bully first year students.

“They first attacked and assaulted some of them. They further moved to the mini-market on campus and grabbed another first-year student and attempted to drag him away to molest him but he was rescued.”

Meanwhile the deceased has been buried according too Islamic customs.
