A Senior lecturer with the University of Ghana Professor Ransford Gyampo has asked the government of the day to stop giving Ghanaians explanations for fuel price increase and rather come up with possible solution.
He strongly believes that the the Nana Addo led administration was voted into office to bring change and not to give explanation to spike in fuel prices.
Prof. Gyampo opines that the essence of every government is to solve problems and not give explanations.
The Political Science lecturer in a Facebook post stated that Ghanaians are tired of explanations given them anytime there is increased in fuel prices.
There’s always a reason why fuel prices go up. Just as there is a reason today, there was a reason yesterday. We are tired of the explanations. The hikes are now killing. The essence of governance is to solve problems and not eloquently explain them”, he stated in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile fuel prices have risen by 3.3 percent per gallon at the pump making a liter stand at GHS6.90.
