John Mahama Donates GHS100,000 To Radio Gold To Restart Operation

The former President of Ghana and the three times Presidential aspirant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has donated GHS100,000 collapsed Radio Gold to begin its operation.

The National Communication Authority (NCA) reinstated the license of Radio Gold last month and they are set to come back on air.

According the President’s donation was handed over to the management of the station on November 3rd.

A statement that was copied to the station by the NCA stated that the new licenses also include that of new stations across the country.

“The Governing Board of the National Communications Authority (NCA), at a Board meeting held on 11th October 2021, approved the grant of a total of One Hundred and Thirty-Three (133) FM radio broadcasting authorizations which include new applications from entities whose FM radio stations were closed down after the 2017 FM Audit as well as existing stations which applied for renewal of their expired FM Radio broadcasting authorizations,” the statement from the NCA read.

Meanwhile famous Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has advised his fans to be of good behaviour because there are more young guys in jail.

After serving his seven days remand term, Shatta seems to have learnt his lessons.
