The managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Junior has waded into the ongoing conversation regarding Nana Akufo-Addo’s unsavoury response to the Aflao chief, Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V.
Nana Akufo-Addo was at the studios of Peace FM on Thursday 21st October 2021 for an interview as part of his tour to the Greater Accra Region.
In the course of the interview with Chairman General, the host reminded him on how Ghanaians including John Mahama have complained about his government abandoning developmental projects commenced under erstwhile John Mahama’s administration.
He cited the Aflao chief giving his government a four-month ultimatum to complete the E-block as an example of an abandoned project.
But the President responding asked the chief to complete the E-block himself if he feels he is tired.
However Kwesi Pratt has said that the President didn’t communicate well whether he was laughing or playing.
”However you will look at it, what the President said about the Aflao Chief was not good, no matter how it was not good, whether he was playing or laughing it didn’t go well, we shouldn’t speak like that to ourselves, he didn’t speak well . . . Torgbui Fiti is a prominent Chief just like all other Chiefs, we don’t speak to him like that, the President didn’t speak well,” he slammed the President on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ show on 22nd October.
Setting the record straight Kwesi Pratt mentioned that the Aflao chief never gave any ultimatum anywhere.
