There was indeed a wonderful second in Paris minutes before the game against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Leipzig as Lionel Messi shared a hug with his mentor Ronaldinho on Tuesday, October 19.
Ronaldinho was part of the top VIPs in participation at the Parc des Princes in ahead of a tight Champions League game.
The awesome, sensational and legendary playmaker was heartily received by the fans and before start off, he strolled around on the touchline, waving to fans and imparting brief good tidings to the Paris Saint-Germain stars.
However, the most inspiring second came when Messi recognized the Brazil legend while he was heating up, and the six-time Ballon d’Or champ momentarily went to Ronaldinho to share a second.
In a video shared on the web, the pair could be seen in a warm hug as they momentarily traded words, before Messi continued his pre-match warm-up.
Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi shared a short but effective spell at Barcelona, and guess what, Messi considers Ronaldinho Gaucho as his guide and to some degree a ‘older sibling’. Prior to joining Barcelona, Ronaldinho had a concise spell at Paris Saint Germain, before his transition to Camp Nou somewhere in 2003.

Remarkably, the Brazilian to a great extent helped Messi get comfortable and develop his potentials at Barcelona, and had an enormous impact in Messi’s Argentine’s first goal for Barcelona. Along with Messi, Ronaldinho won the La Liga in 2005 and 2006.
