The three-time Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has told the party’s executives not to shut-off anyone who want to run the flagbearer race.
He explained that the party is democratic and as such should give others who deem fit the platform to also contest.
“From next year, we (NDC) will begin our branch, constituency, regional and national elections. From there we will do our flagbearership elections.”
“The NDC is a democratic party so all those who show interest and qualify to contest must be allowed to do so. We must all support whoever emerges victorious into the 2024 elections, and I am certain that God will give us victory,” he said on Thursday during his ‘Thank You Tour in Central Region.
This is in response to rumours that the former governor of the Bank of Ghana, Kwabena Duffour will give the former President a competition.
