I Was Not Denied Visa Because of Anti-gay Bill-Suhuyini

There has been rumours making the waves that member of Parliament for Temale North Alhassan Suhuyini was denied an entry-visa by the Netherland Embassy because of his support for the anti-gay bill.

But the member of Parliament has refuted the popular notion making the rounds in the media pointing that the reason for his visa denial has nothing to do with his association with the anti-gay bill.

In a statement released by the MP on 15 October that seeks to correct the wrong notion, he mentioned that the real reason was because of a fault with the application processes which was handled by his protocol officer.

“I assumed at the time that the Protocol Officer, who at the time of processing my application was also dealing with other equally important domestic issues, may have faulted in the documents presented”, a part of the rejoined read.

“I therefore have since taken steps to appraise every document or information and have since appealed the Embassy’s decision. However, all the information I now have convince me that the Protocol Officer submitted all appropriate documents”, he stressed.
