On Sunday, the MP for Ningo Prampram Samuel Nartey George who is one of the members of Parliament championing the fight on the anti-gay bill stormed the Perez Chapel International in Ghana.
In a video sighted online, the founder and leader of the church, Bishop Charles Agyin Asare laid his hand on Sam George and prayed to God to protect him and give him insight in the fight against legalization of LGTBQ+ in Ghana.
Sharing the video online, Bishop Agyin Asare stated that he prays the lord protect and keep Sam George and his team who presented the bill to Parliament weeks ago.
”Elder Hon. Samuel George, we pray that the Lord will keep and protect you and your parliamentary team on this mission to protect posterity. May you have utterance to speak with the tongue of the learned. Ghana is proud of you and your team”, he wrote in a tweet.
The Bill
The anti-gay bill which is being sponsored by 8 members of Parliament is titled ‘The Promotion of Proper Human S3xual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill 2021’.
The proponent of the bill demand that the promotion, advocacy, funding and acts of homos3xuality should be criminalized and this has sparked massive debate in the country.
