The Executive Director of Africa Education Watch, Kofi Asare has blamed the church for failing to mould morals by losing focus and rather building a reputation in branding, profits and wealth.
He believes that the core value of the Church is to mould its congregation but lately it has lost focused from that direction.
His comment comes after the Church showed keen support for the anti-gay bill that was presented in Parliament recently.
”The church has failed to mould morals by losing focus and rather building a reputation in branding, profits and wealth. The church is now desperately clinging on legal straws to cover up for their failure. You cannot deploy a driver to pilot a plane. Lets get back to basics; all is not lost”, he wrote in a Facebook.
Meanwhile a church like Pentecost has threatened to campaign against any member of Parliament who will not give the anti-gay bill support because they form 10.3% of Ghana’s population.
