The President of the Ghana Catholic Bishop’s Conference, Most Reverend Philip Naameh has debunked media reports making waves that he has said that Ghana will become a Muslim country if LGBTQ+ is allowed in the country.
In a press statement he has called on the good people of Ghana to to treat with disregard any report regarding the country becoming a Muslim state.
“I wish to state categorically and for the avoidance of doubt, that the statement attributed to me is false and do not in anyway reflect the actual content of the conversation which has to do with the Church’s support for the Bill,” he indicated in the Press statement issued on 11th October 2021.
This comment has been trending on the web since Sunday and the Bishop has debunked the report noting that it is false.
