Police of the Central Regional Command has offered to reward anyone who gives valid information on the where about of four men who shot a man and bolted with his money an amount of GHS5,000.
Reports indicates that the four robbers were said to have trailed the man from a bank where he withdrew huge amount of money to a hardware shop where he went to purchase some building materials.
According to witness the 73-year-old man was confronted by the robbers to give them the money but he struggled with them after which they shot him in the leg and bolted with his cash.
The Public Relations Officer of the Central Regional Police Command addressing the press assured the residents to remain calm and go about their normal duties.
“We also have a booty of GH¢5,000 as a reward for anyone who will give credible information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
“Again, the Command wants to assure the general public that there is no cause for alarm, security situation is good and we have strategised to help us to get the perpetrators arrested.
According to police the victim is currently at the hospital seeking medical care.
