KNUST Students Asked To Leave Campus Over Planned Attacks

The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) has ordered students at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to vacate campus by 18th September 2021., an official statement said.
According to an official statement by the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC), the directive is to prevent a planned disturbance on campus on the eve of vacation.

The statement further reminded students thatt the declaration of the school’s campus as a security zone is in full force, nothing that security will be active on campus to ensure that the directive is fully enforced.

Although by the mid-day of 18th September 2021, students are to vacate the school premises this exempted foreign students as they would have to make arrangements before flying back home.

The directive issued by the Regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah added that students who will not adhere to it will be dealt with.
