Adultery Is A Serious Sin Punishable By Death And Must Be Criminalized Too-Gabby Otchere-Darko Reacts To LGBTQ Bill

The Parliament of Ghana especially National Democratic Congress’ MPs are sponsoring for a bill to be passed to criminalize LGBTQ practice in Ghana.

Some number of people including singer Sister Derby have frowned upon the move to criminalize the act as they believe people who are part of the LGBTQ community are equally humans and must be treated equally.

Ghanaian politician Gabby Otchere Darko has shared his opinion on the bill regarding the LGBTQ and have proposed that since most Ghanaians are Christians and believe in upholding Christian values, adultery should also be criminalised since it is stated in Leviticus 20:10 that adultery is a serious sin punishable by death.

”Majority of Ghanaians are Christians. They believe in upholding Christian values. Adultery is a serious sin punishable by death (Lev. 20:10). I am therefore proposing a petition to Parliament for a Private Member’s Bill for a law against adultery, imposing stiff penalties”, his tweet read.

This attracted massive reactions on social media as many Ghanaians fired him on his stands on the LGBTQ bill.
