President Nana Akufo-Addo in his address to the nation as far as the covid-19 spread is concerned banned organizing post-funeral reception in the country.
The President also added that holding funerals shouldn’t go beyond two hours and this is to help contain the spread.
He also said that the wearing of masks is mandatory and persons must respect the enhanced hygiene protocol.
“The wearing of masks is mandatory, and persons must respect the enhanced hygiene protocols. Funerals should not go beyond two hours and post-event receptions are banned”, Nana Addo stated.
The president stressed that “we have let our guard down, with many going about their daily duties in clear breach and disregard for the protocols.”
He added that per the data available from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) its obvious that Ghana is expecting a third wave of the covid-19 virus.
