COP Dampare Must Lace His Boots To The Daunting Task Ahead-Ablakwa Advises Newly Appointmented Acting IGP

Member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency and minority spokesperson on Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has finally reacted to the appointment of COP George Akkufo-Dampare as acting IGP.

According to him the President got it right by appointing such a noble police officer as COP Dampare to occupy the position of the IGP.

Speaking on Okay FM’s Adeakye Abia show he commended the President for appointing a noble police officer as COP Dampare.

Applauding the President for making the right appointment, he congratulated the newly acting IGP noting that he must lace his boots to the daunting task ahead.

“I want to congratulate the new acting IGP for picking up the mantle, but he must lace his boots to the daunting task ahead.”

“This is the time you have to ensure the safety and welfare of your men and women in service and help ensure basic amenities to aid them in combating crime in the country,” he stated.

“However, having known the senior police officer and his capabilities I believe he is more than qualified to do the work.

“I believe this time around the President got it right in appointing COP Dampare to act as the new acting IGP,” Hon. Ablakwa added.
