President Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed MP for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong as board chairman of Ghana Gas Company.
The newly appointed board chairman, Kennedy Agyapong has assured the Ghanaian citizenry and President Nana Addo that he and the board will work hard to grow the Ghana Gas company.
After the swearing-in as board chairman, Kennedy said; “We want to say a big thank you to His Excellency the President for having confidence in us that we will be able to discharge our work diligently to help grow Ghana Gas company,” he stated.
Mr. Ben KD Asante, Managing Director of Ghana Gas, Mr. John Darko, Mrs. Adelaide Mary Benneh; Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli; Mr. Abraham Ossei Aidooh; Madam Delphine Dogbegah; Nana Owusu Ansah Ababio, and Mr. Stephen Sumani Nayina are the other members of the nine-member board.
Dr. Dompreh stated that the swearing-in of the board is a mark of the President’s confidence in them in steering the affairs of one of the key state-owned companies in the country..
“Your nomination is indicative of His Excellency President Akufo Addo’s confidence in your individual and collective abilities to steer the affairs of one of the key state-owned companies in Ghana’s energy sector. You are by this appointment expected to provide direction and leadership in the day-to-day running of the nation’s premiere mid-stream gas business company”, he stated.
