Didn’t You Tell Your Husband That You Were Receiving Allawa?-John Boadu Questions Lordina Mahama

The General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu has expressed shock over former President John Mahama’s comment on his wife’s monthly allowances, asking Lordina Mahama if she ever told her husband about the allowances.

Speaking on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ show, John Boadu stated that the former President has expressed ignorance about his wife receiving an allowance because his wife probably didn’t tell him.

“This is coming from someone who has been a President before; he was the leader of the opposition party and you would expect that he knew all of this…but to deliberately mislead the public…maybe his wife didn’t tell him she was receiving an allowance…to deliberately mislead the people it is possible that his wife didn’t tell him of her allowance”, he stated.

He made this comment in reaction to Mr. Mahama’s post on Facebook enquiring why Parliament approved the Prof. Yaa Ntiamoa-Baidu recommendation without a review,

He also rejected the payment of monthly salaries to First and Second Ladies of the land.
