Return The Two Cars You Bought With MPs’ Car Loan If You’re Hypocritical-Murtala Mohammed Tells Ablakwa

Member of Parliament, Murtala Mohammed has asked his colleague Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to return the two cars he bought with MPs’ car loan if he claims to be principled.

He made this comment following calls from the North Tongu MP asking his colleagues to reject the $28million car loan facility for legislators.

After asking his colleague to return the cars, he described his position on the $28million car loan facility as hypocritical.

The $28million car loan is to procure vehicles for members of the current government.

On 14th July 2021, Okudzeto Ablakaw disclosed that he and some of his colleague lawmakers are making progress as far as the rejection of $28million loan facility for members of Parliament is concerned.

The MP revealed that he and Patrick Boamah an NPP member of Parliament came together to sponsor a private member’s motion and the Speaker of Parliament has admitted for an urgent debate on the $28million loan.

”Really elated that my colleague NPP MP Patrick Boamah and I cosponsored a private member’s motion which the Rt. Hon. Speaker admitted for urgent debate this week”, he wrote in a tweet.
