I Was Advised To Leave Ejura During The Disturbance-Ejura MCE

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Ejura-Sekyeredumase Mohammed Salisu Bamba has finally explained why he left the Ejura township during the disturbance.

Speaking before the 3-member committee that was set aside by the Interior Minister Ambrose Derry under the orders of President Nana Addo, the MCE disclosed he was advised by security agent to leave the area.

He noted that when Kaaka the social media activist died he was directly linked to the murder and believes his presence in the area would have worsen the situation.

He admitted to knowing Kaaka because he was a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party but wasn’t aware of his activism.

On 27th June 2021, Kaaka was murdered by some assailant while on his way home at around 1:30 am but unfortunately passed on on 28th June 2021 which compelled the youth of his area to protest on 29th June.

Two people lost their lives in the Ejura disturbance.
