Ghana National Fire Service Reveals Why It Delayed In Going To Makola

On Monday 5th July 2021, fire gut some shops at the Makola market burning down so many properties during the early hours of the day.

According some traders the fire service were the first people they contacted but it took them more than 30 minutes to arrive at the scene.

Some furious hawkers who spoke with the press disclosed that what started as a small thing escalated due to a delay of the fire service personnel when they (traders) called on them.

Reports indicates that when the fire service personnel finally arrived they complained of not being equipped with water that can quench the flaming fire.

The Public Relations officer of the Ghana Fire Service, Mr. Elis Robbinson Okoe has finally revealed why the personnel arrived at the scene late.

According to him at the time they were called, they were now preparing themselves by making arrangement of all materials that can be used to quench the fire.

Well this seems not as a better explanation to the delayed from the fire service personnel.
