Dede Ayew Wins Footballer Of The Year Award After Having A Great Spell At Swansea

latest report gathered from the world of sports indicates that André Ayew has been awarded the Footballer of the Year at the 2021 Ghana Football Award held on Saturday in Accra.

The former Swansea City midfielder, 31, beat his Black Stars colleagues Kudus Mohammed of Ajax Amsterdam and Gladson Awako of Accra Great Olympics to win the honor.

André Ayew’s 17 goal at the just ended 2020/2021 football season fueled Swansea extremely close to English Premier League qualification however they missed the mark against Brentford FC in the Play-offs final.

This is what he had to say after receiving the award;

”I am very honored and proud to receive this award. It’s been a difficult season, not just in football but the world with this COVID-19 so being able to stay strong mentally to do what I have to do mentally, today getting this is a good sign of hard work and I need to continue because there’s a lot more to do.”
