The member representing Shinkafi constituency in the Zamfara State House of Assembly Muhammad Ahmad has been murdered by bandits.
The politician was slain on his way to Kano after attending a rally to welcome a Governor Matawalle of Zamfara State after he defected from PDP to APC.
The incident took place on Tuesday night 29th June 2021 along the Sheme-Funtua road near Yankara village.
The news was confirmed to the media by the Director-General of Media and Publicity in the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Mustapha Jafaru.
The law maker was with his son and driver when the incident occurred. He was shot dead and his son kidnapped.
Fortunately the son was later released.
