Two Suspected Fulani Armed Robbers Arrested At Fumbisi

The Upper East Regional Police Command has arrested two suspected highway Fulani armed robbers at Fumbisi in the Builsa South District.

The suspects accord to a statement signed and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Bolgatanga by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mr David Fianko-Okyere, Public Relations Officer, Regional Police Command, are in police custody assisting investigation.

According to compliant received On June 17, 2021, at the Fumbisi Police station, around 8:30pm, some people were robbed of their unregistered Haejue mapuka motorbike with chassis number LC6XCHSD3K1013107, four (4) phones, motor ignition keys, and a sum of Ghc1,020 on the Butrisa -Fumbisi road by two Fulani men.

One of the victims disclosed that two of the robbers was holding locally manufactured gun and the other was with a cutlass and he could easily make them out when spotted again.

“They are suspected to have an informant in town who feed them with information to operate. Some of the victims of the recent robbery attacks who were called to the charge office were able to able to identify the suspects with narrations on how they were individually dealt with at the robbery scene by the suspects,” the statement noted.

“The Upper East Regional Police Command assures residents of robust posture to deal with all such violent crimes in the region hence the call to partner police through information sharing that would lead to the arrest of criminals”, the statement added.

The two suspects are in the person of Mumuni Bukari and Sediki Gomburi.
