Don’t Just Add Up To The Numbers-Maame Tiwaa Tells Female Police Recruits

The Director-General of Police Welfare COP Mrs. Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has urged newly recruited female police officers not to just add up to the number but contribute towards achieving results in the core mandate of the police.

She made this comment while addressing 581 recruits at the passing out ceremony at the Police Public Training School at Pwalugu in the Upper East Region.

“Don’t just be part of the added numbers but contribute towards achieving results in our core mandate”, she admonished them and congratulated Recruit Hannah Arthur for her outstanding performance and adjudged as the Best Female Recruit.

She encouraged the female recruits not to relent in their endeavors and to continue to make themselves, female police officers and their families proud.

“Never relent in your endeavors and continue to make yourselves, female police officers and your families proud”, she advised.

She added that Ghana is on the right path to achieving the United Nations gender ratio because the female recruits who were passing out constitute 34% and the UN ratio stands at 40%.
