Member of Parliament for Mfantseman constituency in the Central Region, Ophelia Mensah-Hayford has commissioned a 6-unit classroom block for Abeadze Akropong M/A Basic School at Abeadze Akropong.
Addressing the gathering at the commissioning of the school, the MP encouraged the leaders of the Municipality to cease the opportunity to spend wisely in developing the area’s educational sector in a bid to protect the future and present generation.
She went on to say that to say that if the leaders do not see to this they will risk the active human resources to illiteracy.
The MP advised the members of the community and the school authority to do all it takes to maintain the facility for the benefit of students.
Hon. Ophelia Mensah-Hayford is the wife of late MP, Ekow Quansah Hayford. The 6-unit classroom is the initiative of the late MP and it happens to contain an office, a store room and toilet facilities.
