Don’t Politicize Security Matters-Says Former Deputy Defence Minister

Many Ghanaians have raised concerns as far as the recent increase in crime and killing in the country with many living in fear.

The Minority leader in Parliament Haruna Iddrisu has blamed the government for not protecting the people of Ghana with strategic measures that will go a long way to curb insecurity in the country.

This comes following recent bullion van attacks and broad day light robbery that the country has experienced over the past few weeks.

A former Deputy Minister of Defence, Major Rtd. Derrick Oduro has advised Ghanaians not to politicize the security issues in the country.

He noted that citizens have every right to be scared of the current rise in crime in the country but shouldn’t panic because the security of the country is still intact.

The former Deputy Minister encouraged Ghanaians to provide security agencies with necessary information when the need arises.
