Many African migrants are feared dead after a boat carrying them reportedly capsized off Yemen’s coast.
According to report, fishermen in Yemen’s Lahj province recovered 25 bodies in the water near Ras al-Ara.
A report from a provincial official said a boat with between 160 and 200 people on board had overturned in the area two days ago.
International Organization for Migration (IOM) have said that the team are on the grounds and ready to respond to the need of survivors.
“IOM teams are on the ground and ready to respond to the needs of survivors,” it tweeted.
Aden al-Ghad, a Yemeni site cited sources as saying that 150 migrants had drowned of which four Yemenis were missing.
