Latest report gathered by Pinaxnews.com indicates that CNN’s chief international anchor, Christiane Amanpour has revealed that she has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Amanpour broke the news on Monday June 14, by telling her cherished viewers that the the reason for taking a break from work was on the grounds that she squeezed it in a bud “successful major surgery”.
She she further added that she’s certain about the result, even as she starts months of chemotherapy to manage the malignant growth doctors couldn’t surgically remove.
Amanpour who is currently 63-year-old has been a long-lasting news figure at CNN, nearly from its dispatch in the mid 1980s. She worked there from 1983 to 2010, then, at that point left for a short stretch at ABC News, where she presented ”This Week”. She got back to CNN in 2012. Bianna Golodryga has filled in for Amanpour on her CNN International show as she went through a medical procedure and therapies.
This is what she had to say; ”I’ve had successful major surgery to remove it, and I an now going through several months of chemotherapy for the very best possible longterm prognosis, and I am confident. I am telling you this in the interest of transparency, but really as a shout out to most early diagnosis.
She further added; I urge women to endure themselves on this disease, to get all the regular screenings and scans that you can, to always listen to your bodies, and of course to ensure that you legitimate medical concerns are not dismissed or diminished”.
