Two people who attacked tomato traders on board a KIA Rhino Truck at Bunso-Osiem highway on 6th June 2021 have been arrested by a police in Kibi.
It was reported that the suspects, Haruna Amadu who is 25 years of age and Joseph Nyira who is equally 25 years attacked the traders at Bunso site 2 at about 4am.
These men robbed the traders off their monies and bags at gunpoint.
Unfortunately one of the traders identified as Victoria was shot in the head by one of the robbers, killing her on the spot. The suspects fled into the bush after the operation but the police arrested them in the bush after going after them and gaining the assistant of community members.
The KIA Rhino truck was loaded with tomatoes and was traveling from Akyem Begoro in the Eastern Region and heading to Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.
