A taxi driver in Takoradi has been shot by a passenger who hired his service to Kwadwo Krom and later to Sekondi.
According to sources, a taxi driver was asked by a young man to take him to Kwadwo Krom, a suburb of Takorad but after finishing all his dealings in Kwadwo Krom he further asked to be dropped at Sekondi.
While on their way to Sekondi, the driver said he heard a gun shot, which hit him and realized it was fired by the passenger with him.
The driver narrated that he stayed calm out of fear only from the young man to come out of the car in a quest to drag the driver out of the car and later bolt with it.
The driver then stepped on the accelerator while still in pain and the car sped off leaving the criminal behind.
Upon reaching a police station it was found that the gun which was used in shooting the driver was left in the car with Takoradi Airforce written on it. Clearly it was a military gun.
Residents in the area suspects the criminal was military man. The driver is hurt but doing fine.
