Teachers and Staff of Senior High Schools across Ghana have been ordered to pay 10% of their basic salaries as rent for occupying government Bungalows by the end of March 2022.

Reports indicates that the Ghana Education Service in the Western Region of Ghana have already given teachers notice to get prepared for the 10 percent deduction from their basic salaries each month.
In a Press release fast circulating on social media and signed by the Director of Education in Western Region, Mrs. Felicia Agyeibea Okai made reference to a Ministry of Finance release in connection to the 10 percent payment.
According to her teachers occupying government or school’s bungalow must pay 10 percent from their basic salary for enjoying the facility.
