The captain of the Black Stars Andre Ayew has said that he fell ill two days before Ghana’s first match with Morocco in the AFCON Matches but could not sit behind because he wanted to help the nation.
He made this revelation in the post match interview after the team loss to Morocco in the Group C game.
Aside wanting to help the nation he also said that his team mates also needed him on the field.
He went on to say that he did his best to make sure the team won but unfortunately that couldn’t happing noting that he has been waiting for the AFCON for three years now.
Meanwhile Dede sustained injury on his head but has assured Ghanaians that he will be fine before Ghana’s next match against Gabon.
He also encouraged fans not to lose hope in the team as all will be fine soon.
