Famous Ghanaian pollster Ben Ephson has descended heavily on former President John Dramani Mahama for failing to present evidence on allegation of ballot box stuffing at the Supreme Court during the 2020 election petition hearing.
John Mahama during his ‘Thank You Tour’ said the 2020 election was the worse Ghana has ever had because the ballot boxes were stuff with ballot papers.
“Tell me which election in Ghana was ballot papers printed, yet one million ballot papers were found elsewhere … We didn’t witness this under Dr Kwadwo Afari-Gyan. She [Jean Mensa] knew there was ballot stuffing.”
He noted that if he were to give Jean Mensah his remark he would have given him poor.
The Electoral Commission has called on the police to investigate the claims by the NDC and Mr. Ben Ephson reacting to this has asked the NDC to move on.
“I think that John Mahama is being unfair to his party,” Ben Ephson stated on Asaase Breakfast Show hosted by Beatrice Adu on Friday (29 October).
“You had the opportunity to challenge the results at the Supreme Court. And what is happening now, if he had added … that: ‘My Lords, I’ve this evidence of a million ballots,’ I’m sure the Supreme Court would have ordered the police to investigate within two weeks. He did not do that.”
