One person has died and two others seriously injured following an explosion which occurred at the premises of Premier Towers of Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) in Accra on 30th October 2021.
Management of SSNIT speaking on the cause of the explosion has said that it was caused by two gas cylinders which were being used to cut an old metal refuse container into smaller pieces by some scrap dealers.
According to report one of the scrap dealers died on the spot but the other was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital.
Report further indicated that the 3rd victim was an Uber driver who was driving by when the explosion occurred.
Management has assured staff and clients of their safety and police has already began an investigation into the matter.
