President Of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has disclosed the reality on the grounds as far as the 499 law students are cooncerned.
According to the President in an interview with ace broadcast journalist Kwame Sefa Kayi affectionately called Chairman General, the 499 students are not the first to be denied admission into the Ghana School of law noting that there is no space for the students who passed the entrance exams but were denied entry.
The students who do not no that there inadequate space for them have accused the General Legal Council (GLC) over a new quota system that has caused their inability to gain admission.
The aggrieved students have lamented on how authorities made them sit for the exams without alerting them that it had introduced a new system where students have to score at least 50% in both sections
Earlier the association claimed that 1,289 out of the 2,824 students who sat for the exams made the the 50% score yet got excluded from the students successfully admitted.
“For the time being, there is no space in the Law School for them and that is the problem. So, there are others before them who also fell into the same pit,” the President stated.
