The Second Lady, Samira Bawumia has rejected the monies allocated to her in pursuant to the recommendations of the Prof. Yaa Ntiamoah-Baidu led Committee which has been approved by Parliament.

She made this known in a statement where she equally hinted on refunding allowances paid her since the Nana Addo led administration assumed office in 2017.
She will have to refund a total of GHS887,482 to the state.
This comes after the decision to pay the First and Second Lady attracted huge criticisms from Ghanaians as many feel its the wrong time to pay spouses of the President and the Vice President.
