The mother of the young man, Stalemate Mohammed speaking on Citi FM based in Accra stated that her son was amputated on Saturday 3rd July 2021.
”So the child was crying bitterly and we had to call on our chief who also called a doctor for us and the Child was admitted. The doctor told us that the leg can’t be worked on and that he needs to be amputated. So he was amputated on Saturday”, the mother stated.
Initially the young man was sent to St. John of God Hospital at Duayaw-Nkwanta but was later referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
This young boy was shot following a protest that was staged by angry youth in Ejura over the murder of Kaaka, a social media activist.
