Prostitutes in Koforidua reduce Prices to lure male clients amidst economic hardship

Koforidua (Eastern Region) sex workers have slashed rates to keep clients through economic challenges.
According to the sex workers union in the Eastern Region capital, they’ve lost a lot of clients in the previous three months and have chosen to decrease their price to recapture and preserve the present ones.

The group ascribed the near-collapse of their company on the present economic troubles, which have compelled most males to remain celibate and married ones to stay with their spouses alone.
Initially, they charged 50ghc for short and 150ghc for a night stay. The current reviewed pricing are 20ghc for short and 80ghc for long. Speaking to a local reporter, the group claimed;

“We’ve lowered our pricing for Christmas, so come shop with us,” Since the economic downturn, business has been dismal. Most of our consumers have left because of our costs. Before the economic crisis, we charged at least Ghc50 for a short period and an average of Ghc150 for night service. Now, we hardly earn half of the above mentioned charges, and this is a significant issue for us. They’re luring male clients by lowering prices to get them out of debt.”
