Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, a former member of the Black Stars and current midfielder for Accra Great Olympics, shaved his head live on television after Ghana’s defeat.
Many Ghanaians had great expectations for Ghana’s match against Uruguay in the FIFA World Cup on December 2, 2022, as a form of retaliation for an incident that occurred 12 years earlier.
Former Black Star athlete Agyemang Badu was one of those who attested to the Black Stars’ victory.
Agyemang Badu said he believes the match between the two nations would be successful before it began. Further, he said that if Ghana’s Black Stars fell to Uruguay in the game, he would get his head shaved on live television. Agyamang-Badu was forced to fulfill his vow in order to accept the Black Stars’ defeat when the game ultimately finished with Ghana losing by a score of 2-0.
