Concerned Drivers suspend move to increase transport fares by 30%

The Concerned Drivers Affiliation has delayed its September 21, 2022, execution of a 30% increment on the way charges.

It was expressed last week that the Affiliation and the Genuine Drivers Association would be raising transportation costs by 30%.

They said the arranged climb was brought about by increasing expenses for gas and substitution parts, as well as the public authority’s maladroit financial administration.

Power charges, water duties, spare part costs, food costs, and unadulterated water costs have all risen, hence we must choose the option to similarly raise our passages,” the two associations said.

The unions said: “we are unable to produce enough money to feed for our family and pay off our debts.”

However, Paa Willie, top of the Concerned Drivers, informed Nyankonton Mu Nsem that the proposed climb has been required to be postponed.
