Ghanaian Politician identified as Joe Ghartey has caused a stir on social media after a Video of him during his daughter’s marriage hit social media. The MP Politician and Member of Parliament for Essikado – Ketan days ago married of his Beautiful daughter Ewurama Ghartey to a Ghanaian Business man in a very lavish and colorful ceremony.
However Mr Ghartey made headlines when he refused to accept the Bride Price of his daughter as its customary done. The presence of 100’s of guest, The MP revealed that he is only accepting a Bible and a Ring as her Bride price for his daughter. This decision came as a Shock to many to many but his reason made them admire him more.
The politician then advised the couple after seeking the consent of his daughter to receive the items. Revealing why he accepted just a Bible and A ring, Mr Ghartey claim he married his wife in the same manner hence decided to following suit.
