Outspoken Ghanaian member of parliament Kennedy Agyapong has said that former President John Dramani Mahama has been served exactly what he prayed and wished for.
According to him it was the former President’s wish and prayer that the New Patriotic government goes against it words of neve going to the IMF.
Speaking to a number of the NPP delegates and supporters in the Eastern Region on 1st July 2022, he said he has nothing to say again after stating that the NDC government failed that is why it went to the IMF for help.
Recall that on Friday 1st July, the government of Ghana through the Ministry of Information announced that the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo had authorized the Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to engage with the IMF.
This got a number of Ghanaians talking including Assin Central MP.
The member of Parliament who had earlier described the formal administration as a failure going to National monetary fund for financial assistance says how does not know what to say again after the decision that has been taken by his party.
” it is just like handing over car to Anderson without a contest, straight away because of the noise we made, and I chew my own words back when I said the NDC went to IMF because of mismanagement of the economy. So if NPP is going to IMF what am I going to say? So breaking the 8 is going to be tough.
” my message to you a simple, you cannot read my lips and I’m not scared of anybody in the party, I will tell you the gospel truth, those who take you to IMF cannot break the eight”, he added.
Meanwhile, The President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo , has authorized Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to commence formal engagements with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
