The former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has seized the opportunity to mock the current Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Bawumia over the manner in which the dollar has woefully disgraced the cedi.
John Mahama who was speaking at the launch of the TEIN (Tertiary Education Institution Network) app at the University of Professional Studies, Mr. Mahama said Ghana is experiencing hardship on a scale that has never been experienced in the country’s 30 years in the Fourth Republic.
“General incompetence, corruption, and waste of scarce resources have combined to make life simply unbearable for the generality of Ghanaians”, he said.
He went on to say that currently the youth are suffering from a broken promise.
“The government has bungled the important task of securing the welfare and wellbeing of our young people through sound policies in education and ensuring the availability of employment opportunities,” he stressed.
He mentioned inflation, spike in fuel prices and the depreciation of the cedi as challenges Ghanaians are facing.
