On 19th March 2022, self acclaimed queen of Ghanaian comedy, Afia Schwarzenegger appeared as show host on the United Showbiz and she finally seized the opportunity to apologize and explain why she said Chief of Staff, Frema Opare gave her GHS50,000 as funeral donation.
According to Afia making the video where she said madam Frema Opare gave her GHS50,000, she was only being sarcastic and silly and nothing serious.
She noted that after she made the video she shared it one Protozoa who is the personal assistant to the Chief of Staff before finally sharing on social media after not receiving any message from Protozoa despite waiting for one.
Detailing how the whole scandal came about, she said Protozoa later contacted her and informed her that the foot soldiers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) were angry.
According to Afia she suggested she retracts but Protozoa asked her to remain quiet only for the whole thing to escalate into a big scandal.
Afia affirmed that she regrets ever sharing such a video online because she never had any slightest ides it will become a topic for discussion.
