E-Levy Could Support Situations Like Evacuating Ghanaians From Ukraine- Seen to Markin

Deputy Majority leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo Markin has asked Ghanaians to embrace the controversial E-Levy because Ghana could be affected by the large scale military attack between Russia and Ukraine.

He expressed that the attack on Ukraine by Russia could affect the strength of the Ghana cedi as well as have a negative impact on import and export.

He made this comment after some Ghanaian students living in Ukraine asked the ruling government through the Ministry of Foreign affairs to have them evacuated.

Some Ghanaian students who spoke in videos that have circulated on social media have expressed worry and fear for their lives and have appealed to government to evacuate them to Ghana.

A number of Ghanaian students were seen in a video hiding in an underground in Ukraine.
