A leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ras Mubarak has said that it is illegal for the National Communication Authority and Telecommunication networks in the country to conduct sim re-registration.

According to him the sim re-registration process takes away long hours from people who could have worked with that time.
He mentioned that the process creates so much inconvenience for market women and commercial drivers who rely on their daily income to survive.
Speaking on Onua TV in a phone in session with Captain Smart he stressed that there is no way government can block Ghanaians if they do not re-register their sim cards.
