Leading member of the New Patriotic Party Mr. Kwame Baffoe well known as Abronye DC was invited to the Accra Regional Police Command to assist investigation.
According to the police preliminary investigation has established that claims by Abronye DC against former president John Manama are untrue and likely to occasion a breach of the peace.
The police further said that based on the fact that the allegations against Manama which were untrue led to his arrest. He was arrested and charged on two counts of Publication of false news and offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace.
He has been detained and will be arraigned before court on Wednesday 16th March 2022.
The police then urged the public to be circumspect in all their dealings including pronouncements since anyone who falls foul of the law will be taken through the due process of the law.
