Actress and movie producer Yvonne Nelson has made revelation on how some people close to President Akufo-Addo have stopped talking to him because of her tweets against the government.
The actress who is found of criticizing politicians and speaking to issues of national interest has said that claims by some Ghanaians that she has not been criticizing the Nana Addo led administration like she did to John Mahama isn’t true.
Yvonne who said her critics want to see her hit the street to demonstrate like she did under John Mahama’s administration has said that the fact that she hasn’t hit the street under Nana Addo doesn’t mean she doesn’t criticize him.
“I’m always talking about politics”, noting: “They just want to see Yvonne Nelson out there with the crowd demonstrating; that’s all they want to see”, she stated while speaking on Accra FM on 20th January 2022.
Explaing why she embarked on ‘Dumsor Must Stop’ demonstration she noted that everything started on social media and it began to trend so there was the need to base on that to hit the street.
Reacting to critics who claim she criticize the current administration less, she said; “I talk about the president all the time”, insisting: “When something is going wrong, I tweet about it; they can check my tweets…”.
“People close to the president are not even talking to me anymore because of my tweets,” she added.
